09 Can Japanese restaurants and franchises business target the world?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
\n

First, about the franchise business, franchising first appeared in America and expanded around the world.
\nThe number one share of the franchise market is held by America, followed by Japan in second place.<\/p>\n

As a person who had worked in both countries, I think is that there are as many differences between the franchise businesses in America and in Japan as between baseball and yakyuu (Japanese baseball).<\/p>\n

08 Don\u2019t become a craftsman-manager.<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

A craftsman-manager<\/p>\n

I had worked on Saint Marc Holdings Co. Ltd.
\nAs the founder fell into the situation of \u201cShokunin-Soagari\u201d [craftsman uprising] in the early days, he began working on establishing restaurants without craftsmen.
\nShokuninn Souagari means that all the kitchen staff, as if by common agreement, do not show up one day and subsequently quit.
\nShokunin=Craftsman, usually used in a positive sense of craftsmanship, but in this context it can safely be used for its negative connotations.

The merit of continuing to conduct the previously mentioned social gatherings with partners (Refer to 04 A social gathering with partners) was — to hire talent.
\nCompared to the time (1995 to 2006) when I was managing the Prime\u2013Link restaurants, finding employees is getting more difficult now.<\/p>\n

The making of an enthusiastic partner (a person fighting for the same cause, a comrade), does it require monetary reward?
\nCould only monetary reward create a group burning with enthusiasm?
\nWhen developing a service company, you often hear the following:<\/p>\n

“There is no brilliant executive” “I want a capable manager\u201d<\/p>\n

“I want employees whose way of thinking is the same as the management”<\/p>\n

5. All the shop have surplus!? \u00a0The danger of this.<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

Are the shops in the red really bad?
\nWhen you run shops, some shops will be in the red for sure.
\nManagement reaction to this situation varies.
\nClose the shops immediately.
\nClose the shops within certain period.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Because the stores with a surplus compensate for this loss on the whole, the shops in the red can keep on being run haphazardly without a sense of urgency.
